Shipping Policy
Last updated: 1 September 2026
Shipping here is quoted, not flat. What you pay depends on where the parcel is going and what it weighs, and the figure at checkout is the figure charged.
The two sections worth reading before you order are how the parcel weight is worked out, and what happens if something goes wrong in transit.
01What this covers
How we price, pack, dispatch and track an order, and where responsibility sits at each stage. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions, and the terms govern if the two ever disagree.
Pre-orders have their own timing, because nothing can ship until the model reaches us — see Pre-orders and mixed orders.
02Where we ship
We ship across India. Our courier covers the large majority of pincodes, but not every one, and a few are served on a longer timetable than the rest.
Checkout does not currently verify that your pincode is serviceable. It quotes a shipping price for any valid six-digit PIN code, so an order to an address our courier cannot reach will be accepted rather than refused. If that happens we will contact you to arrange an alternative or refund you in full — we will not simply leave the order sitting. If you are somewhere deliveries are often difficult, write to us before ordering and we will check it first.
We ship to a limited set of international destinations. If your country is not offered at checkout, write to us before ordering rather than placing an order and asking us to route it afterwards.
03How shipping is priced
Shipping is quoted per order, from two inputs: the destination pincode and the chargeable weight of the parcel. We ask for your pincode at checkout for exactly this reason, and the figure shown there is the figure charged.
There is no flat rate and no free-shipping threshold. Order value does not affect the shipping cost — a heavy order of inexpensive models costs more to send than a light order of expensive ones, and the quote reflects that rather than averaging it into prices.
The cart cannot show a shipping figure, because at that point we do not know where the parcel is going. “Calculated at checkout” is the accurate answer, not a placeholder.
04How the parcel weight is worked out
Couriers charge on chargeable weight, which is the greater of what the parcel actually weighs and what its size implies — its volumetric weight, length × width × height ÷ 5000. Scale models are light for their box, so the volumetric figure is usually the one that counts. Packing a small model in a large box would cost more to send, which is why we do not.
We group a cart into cartons, and the models in it decide which kind:
- Up to 500 g — 1:64 models in a box, up to four per carton.
- Up to 1 kg — anything on a blister card or in an acrylic case, and every 1:43, up to four per carton.
- Up to 2 kg — any 1:18, which ships as a substantially larger box.
Past four items we step up to the next carton, so a fifth model adds a carton rather than a little more weight. This is why adding one more piece sometimes moves the shipping figure more than the piece before it did.
05When a live rate cannot be fetched
If our courier’s rate service cannot be reached — an outage, a timeout, a pincode it will not quote — we do not fail your checkout. We price the parcel from our own weight table instead:
| Chargeable weight | Shipping |
|---|---|
| Up to 500 g | ₹65 |
| Up to 1 kg | ₹125 |
| Up to 1.5 kg | ₹185 |
| Up to 2 kg | ₹205 |
| Up to 3 kg | ₹250 |
| Up to 5.5 kg | ₹305 |
| Above 5.5 kg | ₹305 + ₹60 per additional kg |
These are calibrated against real surface rates. They are an estimate, and the figure shown at checkout is still the figure charged — we do not re-bill you afterwards if the courier turns out to charge us more.
06Free shipping
Shipping is only free where a valid discount code makes it free. There is no order value above which shipping stops being charged. Any claim you see elsewhere of free shipping over a threshold is out of date, and this page governs.
07Payment on delivery
We do not offer cash on delivery. Every order is paid in full before dispatch, and our rates are quoted on that basis. Do not pay anything to a delivery agent — if someone asks you to, refuse and contact us.
08Dispatch times
In-stock orders are packed and handed to the courier within [N–N working days] of payment being confirmed. Because payment is verified by hand, the clock starts when we confirm it, not when you place the order.
Dispatch windows are targets, not guarantees. A drop day, a public holiday or a large pre-order arrival can push them, and we would rather pack an order properly than hit a number.
09Pre-orders and mixed orders
A pre-order cannot ship until the model reaches us. Dispatch follows the balance payment clearing, not the order date, and the arrival date on the listing is the manufacturer’s estimate rather than a delivery promise.
Where one order contains both in-stock models and pre-orders, we hold the whole order and send it as one parcel once everything has arrived. That is usually cheaper for you than two shipments and is the default. If you would rather have the ready part now, ask — see Shipping part of an order early.
10Shipping part of an order early
You can ask us to send whatever of yours is ready now — across one order or several — instead of waiting for everything. It is a request rather than a right: we may decline it, and it is not available at all times.
Splitting means more than one parcel, and two parcels cost more to send than one. Where an approved split changes what is owed, we tell you the difference before anything is dispatched.
11How we pack
Models are packed in their original manufacturer packaging inside a padded outer carton. We check every parcel before it goes out. Packaging is protected as well as we reasonably can, but shelf wear and handling marks on a box or blister are not something we can guarantee against in transit — see condition and collectible variation.
12Tracking
We send a tracking number when the parcel is handed over, and your order page shows its current stage. Tracking can take a day to start updating after dispatch, which is normal and not a sign the parcel is lost. Delivery estimates shown by the courier are the courier’s, not ours.
13Your address, and failed deliveries
Give us a complete address, a correct pincode and a phone number the courier can reach. We are not responsible for a delay, a failed delivery or a re-shipping charge caused by details that were wrong or incomplete when you gave them to us.
Address changes are only possible before dispatch, and we cannot promise to catch one in time. Couriers usually attempt delivery more than once and then return the parcel to us. A returned parcel can be re-sent once you pay shipping again, and the original shipping charge is not refunded.
14Risk, damage and loss in transit
Risk passes to you on delivery, and once a parcel is with the courier we do not control how it is handled or when it moves.
Damage in transit (DIT) and loss in transit (LIT) are not covered as standard. Our prices do not include insurance and neither does the shipping quote. Cover can be bought at extra cost, and only before you place the order — it cannot be added once a parcel has been dispatched. See Transit cover.
We will always help you chase a courier on a delayed or missing parcel, and we will raise the claim where we are the one able to. Doing that is not an acceptance that the loss is ours.
We are not liable for delays caused by the courier, weather, customs, industrial action or anything else outside our reasonable control.
15Duties and taxes on international orders
Import duty, tax, customs charges and any handling fee on a delivery outside India are yours to pay, and they are not included in the price or the shipping quote. Customs can also hold a parcel for inspection, which we cannot expedite. A parcel refused or abandoned at customs is treated as a failed delivery.
16Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The version published when you place an order is the one that applies to that order. The date at the top of this page is when it last changed.
